Uncontested divorce

Overdue child support

When the couple agrees, in many cases the divorce can be done at a notary's office, by public deed, faster and with less strain than a lawsuit. A lawyer must be present in the procedure.

Overdue child support can be collected in court, with measures ranging from payroll deduction and freezing of funds to, in cases provided by law, imprisonment of the debtor. The sooner collection starts, the better.

Custody and parenting time

Shared custody is the rule under Brazilian law, but the parenting schedule must be designed for the family's real routine. Clear agreements avoid conflicts and can be revised when life changes.

Probate has a short deadline to be opened after death, and delays may lead to a fine on the state tax. When all heirs are adults and in agreement, probate at a notary's office is usually the fastest route.

Is my conversation with the firm confidential?

Yes, entirely. Everything you tell us is protected by attorney-client confidentiality, even if you decide not to hire. Your data is processed under the LGPD and used only to review your case.

Do I need to go to the office or the courthouse?

For most steps, no. Service is digital, documents are sent by WhatsApp or email and many procedures are now electronic. Hearings, when needed, often take place by video conference, and notary procedures can be arranged remotely.

Can I get divorced without a fight and without a lawsuit?

In many cases, yes. When there is agreement, the divorce can be done at a notary's office, by public deed, with a lawyer present. Even when going to court is necessary, an agreement between the parties makes the process much faster and cheaper.

How does child support work?

The amount is set by balancing the needs of the recipient and the means of the payer, and may be set by agreement or by the judge. If either party's financial situation changes, the amount can be revised. Overdue support can be collected in court.

How much does it cost and how are fees set?

It depends on the type of case and the path chosen (settlement, notary or lawsuit). After understanding your situation, we present a written fee proposal, before any engagement, with no surprises.
