What changed

Retirement rules today

Constitutional Amendment 103/2019 created a general rule and several transition rules for those who were already contributing before the reform. The transition rules change their requirements every year, and each one calculates the benefit differently.

General rule

65 for men and 62 for women, with a minimum of 20 and 15 years of contributions.

Transition rules

Points, progressive minimum age and tolls apply to those who were already contributing in November 2019.

Special time

Work with noise, chemical or biological agents may count differently.

Rural time

Farm work, even without a formal contract, can be recognized with proper evidence.
