Can a salary be frozen in the account?
As a rule, no. Salaries, retirement benefits and pensions cannot be seized, and amounts of up to 40 minimum wages in savings are also protected, under the Code of Civil Procedure. There are exceptions, such as child or spousal support debts and situations reviewed by the judge. When a court freeze hits these amounts, you can ask for the release in the case itself, on an urgent basis. The bank also cannot withhold your salary to pay debts without authorization.
